A Groundbreaking Ceremony for Somerford Place of Hagerstown was held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 in Hagerstown, MD. The ceremony celebrated the commencement of a 9,470 SF addition and interior renovations to Somerford’s existing assisted living facility. The work will include a renovated kitchen, an additional dining area, renovations to the corridors of the existing resident apartments, and 16 new resident apartments.
The ceremony included remarks by Mark Gipe, Executive Director, Somerford of Hagerstown; Jeff Cline, Washington County Commissioners; Paul Frey, President, Hagerstown-Washington County Chamber of Commerce; Cathy Hanson, Alzheimer’s Association; Leslie Ray, Regional Director of Operations, Five Star Senior Living; Jerry Bowman, Executive Vice President, Morgan-Keller Construction; and a closing prayer by Reverend David Baker.
