Morgan-Keller Construction recently began construction of the Kentland Community Center in Landover, MD. This project involves the construction of a one-story, 32,600 SF community center with a walk out, 6,200 SF unfinished basement. The work will include site work, concrete, structural steel, masonry, exterior walls, interior partitions, finishes, casework, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, electronic security, and fire protection work.
Site improvements include expanding the existing lower parking lot, regrading and expanding the existing upper parking lot, new on-site water and sewer lines, and electrical service. The building also contains a vegetative roof. The Client for this project is The Maryland- National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Department of Parks and Recreation and the Architect is Frederick Ward Associates of Bel Air, Maryland. The project began on September 8, 2014 and is scheduled to finish December 15, 2015.
