Morgan-Keller Construction congratulates the Howard County Library System (HCLS) on being named 2013 Library System of the Year by Library Journal and Gale, a subsidiary of Cengage Learning. The award goes to one of the 21,000 public and academic libraries in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The announcement featured photos of HCLS's newest and largest branch, the Charles E. Miller Branch & Historical Center, which was recently built by Morgan-Keller Construction. The new two-story, 62,000 square foot facility, designed by Grimm + Parker Architects, achieved LEED Gold Certification.
It includes an interactive garden for teaching and relaxation, nine private study rooms for individuals and groups, a 3,000 square foot meeting room that can be temporarily partitioned, and an 800 square foot children’s classroom.
Morgan-Keller Construction is proud to have been a part of this significant project for HCLS.
