About this Project
The Carroll Creek promenade in the center of the city of Frederick, Maryland has quickly become a major attraction for both residents and visitors to the city.
Major elements of this project included:
- Three distinctive pedestrian bridges:
- A cabled suspension bridge with a 30 foot tall central mast
- An arched bridge clad in natural stone
- A traditional footbridge with ornate iron sculpture
- A public amphitheater
- Raised planters with elaborate brick detailing
- Extensive landscaping
- Numerous water features including several waterfalls
- An attractive blend of patterned brick walkways stretching approximately two miles along the promenade.
